ABOUT

US

We are an academic outreach club that will host the Aggie Invitational, a Science Olympiad competition for high schools, and advance student interest in science by preparing lessons and demonstrations for local schools.

Pranav Kharche
President

Pranav is a third year Computer Engineering Major. They have plans to pursue a masters degree after graduating from UC Davis. They competed in Science Olympiad for 8 years and were a competitor during the first Aggie Invitational. Their interests include robotics, video games, and anime.

Alex is a fourth year NPB and Cognitive Science Major, aspiring to become a surgeon. They claim to have seen over 25 surgeries in the operating room. They founded their high school's Science Olympiad team and helped them grow as a club during that time.

Nicole is a fourth year Biotechnology Major. She became involved with Science Olympiad during her senior year of high school, and is glad to be able to continue being involved in college. During her free time, Nicole enjoys listening to music and going on spontaneous adventures.

Diya is a second year Biochemistry major and Sociology minor who is currently interested in drug development and pharmacy. In her free time, she enjoys trying new cafes, thrifting, and doing some photography. She enjoys being a part of Science Olympiad at UC Davis to encourage young students to delve into many scientific disciplinaries.

Nishi is a third year Neurology, Physiology, and Behavior Major. She is new to Science Olympiad and wants to emphasize that prior Science Olympiad experience is not required in order to become involved. During her free time, Nishi enjoys reading, knitting, and baking.

Tanisqh is a third year Neurobiology, Physiology, & Behavior Major who aspires to become a surgeon one day. Tanishqh has been involved with Science Olympiad for 7 years, and has traveled to over 20 different countries!

Angela is a third year majoring in Biotechnology. She first became involved with Science Olympiad at UC Davis and enjoys taking part in test writing. Some of her hobbies include crocheting, painting, making playlists, and spending time with her cat.

Jannat is a third year Microbiology student. She joined SciOly because it was always a sweet memory of her friends and how she's grown over the years. She hopes to network and make more friends with people who enjoy all kinds of science activities. She loves going out to eat and doing arts & crafts.

Treasurer

Sudha is a fourth year Biotechnology and Spanish Major. They did Science Olympiad for two years, participating in Herpetology, Protein Modeling, Disease Detectives, Water Quality, and Experimental Design. Sudha enjoys reading, cooking, and watching Netflix and says, "I am so grateful that I am able to be involved with scioly in college!"

Vincent is a second year Physics and Mathematics Major. He participating in his high school Science Olympiad team for one year. He enjoys reading, cooking, and binge watching TV shows. He plans to travel the world with his best friends during his gap year before attending graduate school.

Crystal is a third year intending to Major in Civil Engineering. She has participated in SciOly since 7th grade. She loved being a part of the team and making fun memories every year from last minute crams, hectic competition days, and the occasional medal here and there. Besides bothering her brothers, she plays tennis on her free time.

Caleb is a third year Microbiology Major who intends on switching to a chemistry-related major. His hometown is in Arkansas, so he did not hear about Science Olympiad until attending UC Davis. Regardless, he is grateful for the opportunity to participate in Science Olympiad and write tests. When he has spare time, Caleb enjoys playing chess competitively, going to the gym, painting, and walking his cat.

Celeste is a second year majoring in Biomedical Engineering. She is currently working with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help raise funds for blood cancer research, and hopes to pursue a career in medicine. She participated in Science Olympiad during her last two years of high school. She is excited to continue her journey with Science Olympiad from the other side.

Ravi is a first year Physics major. They competed in Science Olympiad for 7 years before joining the Science Olympiad club at UC Davis to partake in test writing. Some of Ravi's hobbies include 3D modeling, video editing, and writing.

Dani is a second year Genetics and Genomics Major. She has plans to pursue Oncology in the future. She competed in Science Olympiad for three years in high school and is excited to be behind the test writing. She enjoys making music and playing video games.

ABOUT

This National competition brings together students of all ages, allowing them to demonstrate their knowledge across STEM fields. Events range from taking tests about anatomy or astronomy to creating vehicles or experiment designs.
